Pintia is located on the banks of the Duero River, within the DO de Toro. The climatic conditions of extreme cold in winter and heat in summer influence its complex soils, whose main characteristic is the large number of boulders.

For all this, it is essential to find the optimal harvest time so as not to lose the freshness of the aromas or the acidity of the wine.

The harvest took place from September 6 to 17. It was a very fast harvest and without stops to try to preserve the freshness of the wine as much as possible. During the fermentation, the extraction was softer than other years, with few pump-overs, thus working on elegance.

During aging, we reduced the percentage of new American oak barrels by 5%, giving more weight to the lighter roasts. Also, we reduced the malolactic in the barrel by 10%. The goal is to make a Pintia as elegant as possible, taking into account the characteristics of this warm vintage.

Pintia 2017 has a juicier, sweeter balance, reaching harmony and silkiness.
