Dark golden yellow. Honey, apricot jam and grilled pineapple on the nose. The initial tastes are very waxy, oily and full of apricot. This wine is super smooth with balanced acidity, botritized fruit and a delicious flavor profile. Heaps of apricot jam fill the profile with tertiary flavors of honeysuckle and bee pollen filling in on the mid palate. The finish shows great tannic structure with a very gentle acidity.
Lots of toffee at first in this wonderful Sauternes. Vanilla, apricot and pure white peach with loads of white flowers. Very pretty nose. Wonderful texture on the palate with a beautiful elegant texture and finesse. Medium sweet. Long and charming.
A broad, unctuous style, with toasted coconut and brioche flavors framing the creamed apricot, tangerine and mango core. Stays toasty and nutty through the thick finish, with pleasant base notes.
There is an earthy, animal element to this wine that adds complexity to ripe fruit flavors. Currently, it’s a wine that is all potential, sweet and dense with a finish of intense acidity.
