This cuvée is a blend of Gamay and Pinot Noir, from vines that are 59 years old. The grapes are hand-picked in 50L crates, carefully sorted, destemmed and fermented in tanks over 22 days. There is no pigeage ; remontage is performed every 2 to 3 days. 15% of the wine is aged in 228l Allier oak barrels, the remaining in concrete tanks, for 10 months.
Pinot noir brings structure, while Gamay offers the fruity notes. A lively wine to drink young, or keep for 3 to 4 years.
