In the last few years, the Col Fondo movement of cloudy frizzantes has caught on. Col Fondo bottles are refermented in the bottle and left on the lees or fondo (lit. ‘bottom’). Shake the bottle and it becomes cloudy with lees sediment....
Talented winemaker Alice Cinzia manages to makes a light red sparkling, made from Marzemino grapes called M Fondo, and it too is refermented in the bottle as a Pet-Nat style.

This wine is a unique frizzante rosso based on organically-farmed Marzemino grapes from the Region of Veneto. Made using minimal intervention and using the 'Col Fondo' Method, it shows black cherry and raspberry fruit. Wild mint, citrus oil and fresh black cherry. Refreshing with savory minerality.
