If you've ever had a chance to stop and think about where you grew up, the people before you, the people after you, you start thinking about how a township can produce so many unique individuals.  Think about your neighbors, your childhood friends.  We all grow up and go through all walks of life, but we all came from the same place.

Home for the Holidaze celebrates this.  Sam Grinberg, character designer, lead coordinator and artist for The Simpsons and I grew up in the same town, and went to the same synagogue.  While we were a few years apart, and have mutual family friends, we never knew each other up until recently.  Having found out that we grew up in the same town, I reached out to him to see if he wanted to meet up and chat one day because we've found a real love and inspiration working with all of our artists and hoped we could add one more to our beer lineup.  He's out in LA but with all of the strikes going on in his industry, he had some time to travel home to NJ.  So we met up at the local "institution" of a bar everyone in town always went to and discussed his line of work, our line of work, art, beer cans, labels, etc.

We realized that even though we were a few years apart, our upbringing was strikingly similar.  As Bruce would say, "we liked the same music, we liked the same bands, we wore the same clothes" in his anthem about Stevie Van Zandt in the track "Bobby Jean" off of Born in the USA - Sam knew he was up to the task of drawing this can for us.

We'd love to introduce you to Home For the Holidaze - our Raspberry Lager, inspired by the classic powdered jelly donut, Sufganiyot - a traditional Chanukah dessert.  The raspberry in this lager is the perfect compliment, bringing out a gentle sweet and tart kiss to this 4.5% beer.  Drink this beer for any holiday, but if you celebrate Chanukah, this one is for us.
