Described as one of the world’s most beautiful vineyards, Klein Constantia is set amidst ancient trees on the upper foothills of the Constantiaberg, with superb views across the Constantia Valley and False Bay.

The Estate originally formed part of "Constantia", a vast property established in 1685 by Simon van der Stel, the first governor of the Cape. This particular valley was chosen not only for its beauty, but also for the decomposed granite soils on its slopes, gently cooled by ocean breezes.

Today, Klein Constantia continues to make some of South Africa’s top wines that reflect the cool Constantia climate, as well as their historic tradition.

Deep ruby red in appearance. Rich dark red fruit dominate the nose followed by aromas of black cherries and wood spice. On the palate, finely grained tannins are subtly integrated with delicate oak flavors. Elegant and refined with a savory finish showcasing that typical cool climate Constantia style.

Blend: 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Petit Verdot, 17% Malbec

The 2018 Red Blend Estate, a blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Petit Verdot and 17% Malbec, has a more expressive nose than the 2017, featuring boisterous blackberry, bilberry and more floral scents that are not present in the previous vintage.
